I recently had the pleasure to collaborate with upcoming Harlem MC, Rugz D. Bewler on the first video off of his latest album, “By Any Means Necessary.”

Both the album and the title track explore cultural themes specific to Harlem, a pocket of New York City with its very own rich and storied history. For the video we decided to reflect this with a wild west aesthetic, shooting ultra wide, showcasing the architecture and showing the streets relatively empty, with just Rugz and his surroundings.

We kept the split screen effect in mind when shooting so as to really be able to play with the viewers’ perception, and just to have fun with the wide, symmetrical style we were trying to achieve.
